G'day All,

I found this cool site years ago, and thought I would share it with everyone...

Want to create your Facovons??  With one site to reduce then convert???

This site does it all, just browse to your image, and click generate facicon and done....

Can I ask a really stupid question - how do I add a favicon using expression web ? I need to add the file to my root, which I have done, but I need to add :
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" >
to the header and I get an error that says "empty elements must have an end tag"

sorry, I am clearly an html newbie !

Craig.

Hi Craig

Try closing it:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" />

The root is simply where your files and folders are on your server.

Typical pages in the root would be index/default or about.htm/l

Do not put the favicon into a folder.

Thanks Jim!

I ended up putting the favicon in my images folder...then I had to add "/images/" to my link to get it to work....It works but I have to insert this link onto every page.

I wonder if I did it your way it would automatically come up on every page tab.

Thanks again for your quick reply.

Jeff
