I think this is a basic question- I'm pretty clueless when it comes to ASPX. This happens to me in both EW2 and EW3. I searched for an answer on the forum and could not find one.

When I edit the tag properties for my ASP.net controls (the misc. id's, collections etc.) changes appear to be updated on my local page but when I transfer to the server and run the form the changes aren't updated once the form is submitted and I get the e-mail results. The only work around I have found is to create a new control from scratch.

Am I missing a basic step in editing id's, drop down lists etc? Hitting refresh on my browser has no affect.

Here is the form:
http://www.engaygedweddings.com/FORMS/vendor-sign-up.aspx

Basically, I am trying to clean up the ids so they look and read better in the e-mail once the form is submitted. I also am unable to update drop down lists without recreating them from scratch.

I know nothing about asp.net but we have had several on this forum where EW appears to be publishing when in fact it isn't.  The fix that has worked has been to re-install the .NET framework.  It is available at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=AB99342F-5D1A-413D-8319-81DA479AB0D7

Thanks- but that is unfortunately not it. I am now trying to edit the code instead of relying on the EW3 tools and tags.

Forcing it that way is just leading me to crashed forms. I don't know if it is my code or a glitch with EW3. I don't have access to the error messages on our server.

If there is anything I've learned- save copies of working forms before making ANY little changes. LOL
