Greetings everyone, and thanks for the great forum for EW.

I am trying to learn EW2 right now, and so far have been doing so by Jim's tutorials, which are great, and the MS EW2 Step by Step book. What I was wondering, is if anyone had had great luck with any other book or training dvd/program out there. I have taken a class in html and one in Frontpage a while back, so I'm not a complete noob, but still need a jumpstart. Also, is there any formal training like classes or seminars that anyone knows of? Ideas?

Hi,
I am working on a project and have tried to run an accesibility report. I have gone to "Tools" and clicked on Accesibility Report button. I have checked off all of them (a couple times I tried selecting only a few buttons). I click "Check" and it doesn't do anything.
Do I have to click or highlight or move something into the accesibility box to check it?
Do I have to "Create an HTML"
I need this help ASAP!

I agree everybody regarding keywords importance.  we definately need to do keyword research for our sites. markteing is another aspect. i think instead of using this google tool you can try keywordspy.com.

i was using google research tool initially then i came to know about keywordspy and just fell in love with it. it not only tells you competition for keywords but gives you a detailed report with bidding rate, incoming traffic stats and much more. :)

I created an EW Site using one of the supplied site templates.  The newly created site DWT uses a two column format (using column_l and column_r).  I would like to copy (renaming of course such as master_full.dwt) and modify this DWT so that I can have a one column DWT so I can have editable regions covering the entire width of a site page.
 
Thus, I would like to have the ability to create both one column and two column pages within this site based on whichever DWT I select.  Can this be done so that I keep the template masthead, navigation and footer already created for the site based on the original DWT?  If so, how?

Improvement on Den's suggestion:

You can only use an id once per page.  You can use the same id on different pages, but only once per page.
 
Change id="box" to class="box" and change #box to .box.
 
I'd also use percentage widths for the box style, adjusting the margins Den has, to give 3 equal boxes across the width of the content area (if that's the look you were wanting).
 
Depending on what you are going to put in the boxes, there is a problem with using a fixed height for the boxes. 
a)  The content is limited as to the number of lines you can use.
b)  If the user adjusts the font size in their browser (View, Text size, select size in IE) this can cause the content to run outside the box.

Hi all, was wondering if you guys could possibly tell me if there was a way to set up so that when you save a page it automatically publishes that page to your site?  It was possible in Dreamweaver settings, but I can't find a way to set it in EW2, and it is getting annoying flipping to the website tab, right clicking and publishing.
 
Any help would be most appreciated, thanks much.

It would be better and easier to use divs instead of layers unless you have a
specific reason for using layers:

Sorry mate,but I should have put some input on your queery on layers v. tables. For me the big downside with tables is whenever you want modify or add to or rearrange a page they are just so, so RIGID.

I am trying to quickly get layers to do this;

Starting;   
               [Layer 1]                                   [Layer 3]
                             [Layer 2]

[Layer 4]                                   [Layer 6]
                             [Layer 5]

Finishing thus;     [Layer 1]   [Layer 2]   [Layer 3]
              
                    [Layer 4]   [Layer 5]   [Layer 6]

Simply evenly spaced both horizontally and vertically but I dont think without using css (as has been suggested by another Forum subscriber) that it is possible and I'm not that hot on css yet to know that it is really easy or not via that method.
