THANKS SO MUCH!  Working on all 3 browsers now that I use (IE8 (I hate IE8, but....), Firefox and Safari.  Interesting note:  I first downloaded from Photobucket on another computer, and emailed it to myself, for another computer (as an attachment).  The blinking didn't happen. So from the computer on which I have EW2, I downloaded it direct from PhotoBucket.. and voila!  Obviously, the code was stripped somewhere along the line. The link you posted is where I started learning. Dustin did a good job with what he's got posted but then he was away or something for a long time and I ended up finding this site. Jimd's tutorials are good too. I prefer the video over the text or the flash.  
 
I recomend you start with the early tutorials about making a website. Personally I say tables are NOT the best way to go but still have a place in web design.

I've been watching the video tut posted here for newbies on using tables. Using tables really seems tough to grasp. I will have to watch it a few times to get the whole concept when it comes to using styles. But if everybody thinks/knows that tables are better, then that is how i want to proceed. I have to agree with Tena on everything she's posted. I just haven't figured out exactly how she could tell you used layers. Unless it's the z-index and inline styling.
 
I enjoy building from scratch even though I end up with things that look similar to a template.

I tried to email the file but I got a delivery failure notice. I had copied myself at another email address and the attachment did not work. I'll set up something for you to download the file.
 
Edited to add:
I tried sending another email from photobucket but can't be sure it went all the way through. Here's a link to the picture on photo bucket. You should be able to save the picture to your pc by right clicking on it. I tried it to mine and opened it in a web browser and the blink still worked.

I will let you know like I let everyone else.  Tables are the easiestbut not the best way to go.  Why don't you try the layouts that comewith EW.  And get my ebook.  It is very basic and uses EW as the basisfor all the pics.  Everyone that has downloaded it, has always givenpostive feedback.

Tables are supposed to be used for tabular data, although FrontPage used them extensively.

Absolutely why i wanted someone to look. I started viewing the tutorial by jimd and i think i will go from there using tables. Seems to be better when it comes to inserting content. Thanx for the reply. Theres no doubt ill have plenty of questions. I already do lol.

Hi DarkLogan and welcome,
Went to your site to see what you had.  Before you go any further, I would advise you not to use layers.  They are very temperamental in the various browsers and are not recommended by any of the moderators or admin.  While you have not gotten very far, it is a good time to switch to a css layout.  If you are interested, there are tutorials on this site and I have a free ebook on my site.   If you have any questions, we are here to help

to resolve.. I wound up creating a new directory called C:\website (instead of c:\websites)
 
I copied all the lowercased file named (from my backup file) into my new directory and Expression web now presents the lower case file name.   Not sure how IE saw all the lower case file names and EW had several dozen (from the same Dir) w/ camel case..  must be a bug in EW
