Your server must have FPSE installed. If you can get that to work then try substituting check boxes for the text boxes. I think the results will be sent as true or false. Make sure you set the properties of each check box so you know exactly what it is.

I hope this is at least a little bit of help.

Also here is a link to a tutorial. It is for ASP so you must be on a Windows server.

Feedback Form

Edited by tjaks - 06 Sep 2010 at 11:39pm

As I said, when it works, it is a thing of beauty, you can just tell it to publish and move on knowing that every page you changed is updated on your site! I am using EW, on the whole works fine for me, funny thing is one of these days it will just start working again magically!! I'm hoping Tena can provide another miracle for me!

I know some people have had a problem with the date/time stamp comparison between local files and server files. So far this has not been an issue for me.

Usually if I go into the remote web site screen it shows me the changed pages and I can choose to publish changed pages only from the Optimized Published HTML link at the top. On my last publish of changed files the status of some of the pages changed from changed to conflict but when the publishing was done the status was set to unchanged.

Another method that is a little more time consuming:

After publishing a site for the first time mark all pages and files "do not publish"

After making any changes to a page remove the "do not publish" from that file.

Once you re-publish the site (only the pages you changed and set for publishing). set them back to Do not publish.

I only did this way because I don't change many pages at one time and it prevents EW from publishing unchanged files and images. You can select multiple files, right click, and select do not publish.

Maybe Tena will have other suggestions. It just seems like you are going through a lot of trouble and I'm sure it's frustrating.

The only thing from FP that I've used since starting EW is the page include which doesn't require FP Ext. but I don't even use that anymore.

I've been doing sites for 10 years and haven't found anything as good as FP Extensions for being sure I have uploaded all changed pages and files. Sometimes in a session you might change 50 pages on a site, if you forget 1, that could cause all kinds of problems, with FP Extensions you tell it to publish and every changed page is uploaded.

How do you deal with issues like that?

Cheers

Al
